EXPERIENCE ANCIENT ROMAN CIVILIZATION MONDAY WITH THE CENTER FOR EDUCATION REFORM- MESSAGE BELOW:
Help us build the new Education Renaissance!
Teachers! The last few months have demonstrated that in order to expand our learning we must find new and unique approaches.
We are so pleased to be able to provide you with one of those, this Monday. At 8:30 am EDT, you and/or your students can experience the scientific, historical, geographic and archaeological realities of an Ancient Roman Civilization preserved under thousands of feet of Vesuvius’ ashes.
Your students can enjoy the thrill of walking in the footsteps of the ancient Romans through the first of its kind Virtual Reality walk-through of Ercolano (Herculaneum). Thanks to an Italy-based teacher who has created this experience, and local cultural and archaeological experts, you will be able to explore the city, in real time!
Herculaneum (Ercolano in Italian) has been preserved like no other ancient site in the world, not even nearby Pompeii. The city was buried beneath 16 meters of ash and mud during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, and this layer of detritus saved homes with the internal architecture and décor intact, including features in wood and marble, decorations, jewelry, and even organic remains like food, providing a unique view into the daily lives of the ancient population of Ercolano.
To sign up your class or individually, all you need to do is click here to register to join us Monday, at 8:30 AM EDT
But there’s more! After sharing Ercolano with your students, consider joining us virtually for the U.S.–Italia Education Innovation Festival, first ever global Ed Tech event in Italy, with a concentration on innovations and technologies that amplify, engage and educate the world’s students in the arts and sciences.
Join us now – while space is still available. More information on the program available at festival.edmaven.com. For questions, write michele@edreform.com
